Weyerbusch (dpa / lrs) - A 26-year-old driver died in an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver near Weyerbusch (Altenkirchen district).

Two other men were seriously injured and a seven-year-old girl was slightly injured on Wednesday, the police said.

According to the police, the 26-year-old overtook a car with his car on federal highway 256 on Wednesday evening and collided head-on with an oncoming car in the opposite lane.

As a result, the 26-year-old's car spun and collided with a vehicle driving behind him.

The child also drove in this car.

The 26-year-old died at the accident site.

The two men were taken to a hospital.

The B 256 was blocked for several hours.
