At least one person was injured in these clashes (throwing projectiles) inside the "People's Palace" between supporters of President Félix Tshisekedi and those of the parliamentary majority loyal to his predecessor Joseph Kabila.

The day before, pro-Tshisekedi deputies ransacked desks in the gallery of the session hall to prevent a parliamentary session from being held.

On Sunday, President Tshisekedi announced the end of the ruling coalition he had formed since January 2019 with the pro-Kabila parliamentary majority of the Common Front for Congo (FCC).
