Iran: Fakhrizadeh was assassinated with a satellite machine gun

Tasnim News Agency quoted the Deputy Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ali Fadawi, as saying that the assassination of the prominent nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, last month, was carried out remotely using artificial intelligence and a machine gun equipped with a "smart system that is controlled by satellites."

Iran blamed Israel for the assassination of Fakhrizadeh, who was considered by Western intelligence services to be the mastermind of a secret Iranian program to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

Israel did not confirm or deny its responsibility for his killing, and one of its officials described the Tasnim report on the tactics used as a maneuver by Iran to save face.

Last week, experts and officials said that the killing of Fakhrizadeh had exposed security flaws indicating the possibility of security forces being infiltrated, and Iran exposed to more attacks. Iran provided conflicting details of the killing of Fakhrizadeh in an ambush on his car.
