The Ministry of Community Development revealed the success of the first phase of the implementation of the "Plan Platform" project, which it began implementing at the beginning of the first semester of the current school year, in its centers of people of determination, as the platform represents an advanced smart and electronic tool, operating in an integrated system and equipped with the latest technologies. Which includes providing treatment and education services to people of determination, assessing the level of those services, and feeding them with plans.
The Ministry has set several objectives for implementing the project, on top of which is to identify the challenges facing providers of education and rehabilitation services for people of determination, confirming that it has managed to register 686 students on the platform, and that the initial results indicate that parents can use it easily, which allowed their participation in the education and treatment process Their children are students.
The Director of the Rehabilitation Department for People of Determination at the Ministry of Community Development, Wafa Hamad bin Sulaiman, told «Emirates Today» that the «Plan platform» consists of two applications, the first used by specialists and teachers in centers and schools, and enables them to review the level of progress and follow it in more than one program Individual, easy and fast, in addition to reviewing teaching methods and daily activities, as well as communication and follow-up with the family in the implementation of education and rehabilitation plans.
She added that the second application is used by the families of students registered in centers of people of determination, with the aim of communicating with the service provider in an easy and safe way, viewing daily notes, videos and photos, as well as obtaining periodic reports.
Bin Sulaiman emphasized that the platform provided rehabilitation services for People of Determination in an innovative and modern way, with full transparency and credibility, as it facilitated procedures and processes for developing individual and treatment plans for students of determination efficiently and effectively, and providing mechanisms for monitoring and follow-up, whether by those concerned in the ministry or by families.
Bin Sulaiman indicated that the "Plan Platform" project came in cooperation with the "Growth" company in Saudi Arabia, under the supervision of the "Ibtikar" Company for Educational Technology Solutions, and it is in line with the programs and plans provided by the Ministry to support people of determination and their families, in light of changes in educational patterns due to circumstances. She added that “Plan platform” plays an important role in overcoming the obstacle to educating and rehabilitating people of determination, and supporting their families remotely, by developing educational and rehabilitation programs that facilitate their participation with the family, to be implemented at home.
In response to a question about the most important objectives of implementing the project, Bin Sulaiman summarized its objectives with several benefits, on top of which is the identification of the challenges facing providers of education and rehabilitation services for people of determination, whether in the Ministry's centers or in other centers, such as not using modern evidence-based methods to provide Educational and rehabilitation services, lack of commitment to professional development for those in charge of rehabilitating students, proposing solutions to these challenges, in addition to surveying educational and rehabilitation indicators in centers that serve people of determination, evaluating the rate of spending on services for people of determination, as well as evaluating the ability of support and supervision systems to respond to the aspirations and needs of providers Services in centers, and beneficiaries of people of determination and their families.
Bin Sulaiman added that the implementation of the project aims to build a database and evidence to evaluate the performance of the educational and rehabilitation system for people of determination, and its ability to achieve the goals, in addition to strengthening the criteria for constructive competition between providers of education services for people of determination and qualification, whether at the local, regional or global levels. , Indicating that the project also aims to involve the family, enhance its role in the educational process, and follow up the services provided to its members of determination.
