40 terrorists killed in Egypt

Today, Tuesday, the Egyptian army announced the killing of 40 extremely dangerous terrorists, in recent military operations in Sinai.

The General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces said, in a statement published on the official page of the military spokesman on the social networking site "Facebook", that during the period from the first of September to the eighth of December, operations were carried out that resulted in the killing of 40 "extremely dangerous takfiris" in Sinai. Twelve "takfiris" were arrested and legal measures were taken against them.

The statement stated that 437 bunkers, shelters and a storehouse of explosive materials were also destroyed.

The statement also revealed that the attempt to smuggle large quantities of weapons from the western borders was thwarted, and that 21 four-wheel drive vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed.

The statement pointed out that "as a result of the hostilities, two officers and four non-commissioned officers and soldiers had the honor of martyrdom and wounded."
