The US Supreme Court has rejected an attempt by the Republicans to dismiss Joe Biden's victory in Pennsylvania.

The court denied a request for an injunction without comment on Tuesday.

At the end of November, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court had ruled against the plaintiffs, led by Republican MP Mike Kelly.

They had asked the court to retrospectively declare postal votes cast to be invalid.

Trump had recently renewed his fraud allegations in the election and compared the vote with that in a developing country.

"The election was totally rigged," said Trump on Monday at a ceremony in the White House.

“It's a shame for our country, it's like a third world country.” The Republican Trump lost the election on November 3rd to his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
