  According to reports, this will be Biegun's last visit to South Korea during his tenure.

During his visit to South Korea, he will discuss the affairs of the South Korea-US alliance with relevant officials in South Korea and coordinate policies toward North Korea.

  The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that after Biegun held talks with the first deputy (deputy minister) Choi Jong-geon on the 9th, he will also negotiate with the Minister of Peaceful Negotiations on the Korean Peninsula, Lee Do-hoon, on a cooperation plan for North Korea affairs.

  Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung Hwa will invite Biegun to dinner on the 11th.
