07 December 2020 Donald Trump is thinking about a theatrical exit from the White House on Joe Biden's swearing-in day, starting with the Marine One helicopter and then making a last flight aboard Air Force One in Florida for a rally to announce the his re-nomination for 2024, thus obscuring the rival's establishment.
Axios writes it citing sources aware of his intentions.
A scenario that would allow Trump to avoid the embarrassing inauguration ceremony, welcome greetings to the White House and eventual protests by protesters, forcing the media to divide their attention between the two events and contrasting the image of a leader who speaks in front of the crowd to that of a president who is the protagonist of a restricted and largely virtual ceremony.
