The rise in people with "mysterious disease" to 340 people in India

In Andhra Pradesh, southern India, the number of people hospitalized after contracting a mysterious disease has risen to about 340.

State health spokesperson Manikiala Rao said by phone that the mysterious disease in the city of Iloro had caused patients to develop nausea and headaches, and many people were unconscious.

The health authorities have not yet known the cause of the mysterious disease.

The results of the blood tests showed no evidence of viral infection.

And local reports stated that in addition to the infection of hundreds of this mysterious disease, a 45-year-old man died of the same disease.

However, Rao stressed that the cause of death was a heart attack and had nothing to do with the disease.

He added that 168 of the 340 people were discharged from hospital.

He added: "All patients tested negative for the Coronavirus. Air pollution and food contamination were also excluded after the tests were conducted. This is a mysterious disease and more laboratory tests are being done to find out what this disease is."
