07 December 2020 "I received around lunchtime the letter of formal notice signed by the ministers Boccia and Speranza: I do not want to dramatize the conflict with the government but frankly I consider the intimidating tone and the threat of criminal responsibility with respect to infections excessive if not laughable that would derive from this event ", said the president of the Abruzzo Region Marco Marsilio speaking about the warning sent by the Government after yesterday's regional ordinance that restores the orange zone in Abruzzo.

"Laughable - continued Marsilio - because frankly it cannot be demonstrated if and where we are infected, so now that someone, I don't know if there is any red sheriff who will go around looking in some leather goods or clothing store if someone is infected for my fault but more seriously I say that if this principle were to pass someone would have to tell me all the others infected which criminal responsibility we should ascribe ".

"I have an always very serene, loyal, constructive relationship with Minister Speranza but also with Boccia with the Arcuri government as a whole and I think that it will remain so despite the divergence of opinions because I understand the reasons of the minister who at a certain point decided to apply his reading of the combined provisions of the rules a certain time frame with his schedule, I do not share this position I do not share this reading even of the application rule and above all I have the duty to make Abruzzo's reasons prevail ".

Thus the President of the Abruzzo Region Marco Marsilio during the press conference.

"We arrived before the government bureaucracy"

"These are two fundamental days for the economy. We have been discussing this deadline with the Government for a week but I have not been listened to. The Government should have another linearity towards the regions" .

Thus the president of Abruzzo Marco Marsilio justifies the decision to move from the red zone to the orange without the government's ok: "We have never had problems staying in the red zone indeed, in the past we anticipated it for some cities. this time we arrived before the government bureaucracy. The entire conference of regions has considered the passage to the lower areas too long: we are not the only ones to think so ".
