Abu Dhabi Police stated to "Emirates Today" that drivers will be obligated to pay the full value of violations, after the date of this December 22nd, calling on drivers to expedite payment of their violations during the specified period and to settle their legal status, expressing its aspirations for this to be a motive for them to reduce traffic violations, And commitment to the systems and laws that take care of their rights and ensure their security and safety.

It warned that the reduction initiatives do not include the dangerous violations, or those included in Law No. (5) of 2020 regarding the seizure of vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which obliges the perpetrators of dangerous traffic violations in 10 cases to pay fees between 5000 and 50 thousand dirhams, to release the vehicle's seizure.

She noted that this year it launched three different options for drivers to reduce traffic violations, namely, a 50% reduction, which was completed on June 22, and a 35% reduction, within 60 days of committing the violation, and the third 25%.

She explained that the initiative for early payment of traffic violations, according to which traffic violations and the value of the vehicle's seizure are reduced in the event that the vehicle owner wants to buy the vehicle reservation, with the exception of the dangerous violations.
