When Anita was on her way to work a few weeks ago, she had her backpack with a computer and assignments that she corrected and would leave to her students.
On Friggagatan, she was robbed of her backpack by two men who were cycling after her.
On the go, they could take her backpack without her noticing.
Only at the workplace did she discover that the bag was gone.
- I had a clear memory that I had put it in the basket, says Anita who was shocked by the discovery.
Police saw the theft
An attentive policeman nearby noticed the whole incident and called a patrol that quickly caught one of the thieves.
The other managed to sneak with the bag.
The two men are now charged with two counts of aggravated theft and one count of attempted aggravated theft, all three against cyclists.
Both deny any wrongdoing.
For some time now, several bicycle commuters in Gothenburg have reported that they have lost valuable things that they had in their bicycle basket.
