According to several opinion polls, the Social Democrats, just like many other parliamentary parties, have lost voters to the Sweden Democrats.

Election researchers believe that one reason may be that the migration issue is not raised sufficiently by other parties.  

- We must see that "we have these problems".

What people are looking for is for us to have answers to these political challenges.

And to say that there is no integration problem or that people do not experience frustration over the growing gaps does no one any favors. 

Do you think there are tendencies to cover it up in the Social Democrats? 

- Yes, absolutely, says Annika Strandhäll. 

She believes that the view of integration changed for many after the refugee crisis in 2015 when a large number of people came to Sweden.

- I honestly think that you can say that integration problems and segregation that increased for a long time were a bit put on steroids.
