The ARS underlines this Friday a "clear decrease in indicators" linked to the circulation of Covid-19 in New Aquitaine.

Health authorities recorded 4,876 new cases from November 23 to 29, against 6,569 the previous week.

The incidence rate “continues to decrease significantly” also, going from 109.5 / 100,000 to 81.3 / 100,000 inhabitants.

The positivity rate has dropped in one week from 9.6% to 8.1%.

The Pyrénées-Atlantiques with the highest positivity rate in the region

The virus is slowing its progression in the region, but in a heterogeneous way according to the departments.

“Charente-Maritime has the lowest incidence rate (38.2 / 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Gironde (61.7 / 100,000 inhabitants), while the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department has the highest rate (133.2 / 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Lot-et-Garonne (129.3 / 100,000 inhabitants) and Landes (121.6 / 100,000 inhabitants).

The positivity rate drops in almost all the other departments where it is generally less than 10%, with the exception of the Landes (12.2%), Haute-Vienne (11.3%) and Pyrénées-Atlantiques (10, 6%).

The human toll of Covid-19 since the start of the health crisis amounts to 1,225 deaths in Nouvelle-Aquitaine on November 29, including 153 deaths in the last week (against 131 deaths the previous week).
