Hüttenberg (dpa / lhe) - An 81-year-old car driver got into oncoming traffic in Hüttenberg (Lahn-Dill district) and was fatally injured.
The senior was traveling between the two districts of Weidenhausen and Rechtenbach on Friday afternoon, apparently noticing a backlog at a construction site too late, as the police said.
He tried to evade and hit another car.
Then he got into oncoming traffic and crashed into the car of a 47-year-old.
This was seriously injured.
The person who caused the accident overturned his car, which was left on the roof.
The 81-year-old died from serious injuries.
State road 3054 was completely closed for several hours.
