Lyon-Asvel offered a prestigious success against Fenerbahçe, one of the big favorites, beaten with mastery (84-70) on Wednesday, for the third day of the Ladies Euroleague, which saw Basket Landes bow to the Hungarians of Sopron (70-59).

In the health bubble of Istanbul, the Lyonnaises built their success with a marksmanship (53%) and an iron defense which forced the Istanbulites, however presented as the scarecrow of this edition, to a starving 39% in the shoot.

Barely beaten the day before by Prague (80-79), the champions of France, carried by a well-oiled collective, carried out their recital from start to finish against the disoriented Stambouliotes.

Leading by 10 points at the end of the first quarter (22-12), they then accelerated to offer themselves a comfortable lead of 14 points at the break (51-37).

An advantage they would keep until the final buzzer (84-70) with four players over 10 points.

If the Five major dominated the debates, the bench also contributed by compiling a total of 34 points to allow Asvel to mark the spirits in this tournament.

The other tricolor representative, Basket Landes, for his part bowed heavily to the Hungarians of Sopron in the local health bubble.

Céline Dumerc's teammates have never recovered from their start of the game: late after 10 minutes (16-22), they then lost their footing, returning to the break at -11 (31-42).

While they almost made up for their delay after returning from the locker room (49-52, 30th), they finally paid for their efforts by losing logically 59 to 70.

The Bourges-Galatasaray game has been postponed as the Turkish team lamented numerous cases of covid-19.

In the other matches of the day, Yekaterinburg outscored Riga (104-71), while Prague dominated Gdynia and Kursk was beaten by Avenida (74-89).
