Since last Sunday and every Sunday in December, Strasbourg shops have been open.

The prefect of Bas-Rhin, Josiane Chevalier, signed a decree to validate this measure, also taken by mayors in other municipalities.

This Friday, more good news for those who will go shopping on these days.

Public transport will be free throughout the city for the next three Sundays.

Park and ride facilities are also affected by this free access.

The president of the Eurometropolis, Pia Imbs, and the vice-president in charge of mobility, Alain Jund, justified this choice in a press release.

The decision was taken “to support local commerce and crafts, and allow residents to move around easily to do their holiday shopping.
