Edewecht (dpa / lni) - A fire broke out on Friday in a workshop for agricultural machinery in Edewecht (Ammerland district).

According to previous knowledge, flying sparks during the work was probably the cause of the fire, as the police announced in the evening.

The fire quickly spread to a tractor parked in the workshop and continued to spread.

The voluntary fire brigade was on site with 80 rescue workers and was able to extinguish the fire.

The damage was initially estimated at a low six-figure amount.
