Among the "eco-car tax cuts" that will be the focus of the tax reform next year, the government and the ruling party have excluded the handling of clean diesel vehicles from the uniform tax exemption so far, while the models that have achieved the current fuel efficiency standards. We have decided to continue tax exemption for two years.

The "eco-car tax reduction" is a measure to exempt the automobile weight tax rate for fuel-efficient vehicles, and the deadline for application is the end of April next year, but the government and the ruling party are affected by the new coronavirus and new vehicles. We are planning to extend it for another two years, considering that the sales of the product are declining.

Of these, we have decided to exclude clean diesel vehicles, which have been exempt from tax, from the same category, as they are inferior in fuel efficiency to hybrid vehicles, which are also exempt from tax.

However, as some automobile manufacturers focus on clean diesel vehicles, we have decided to take special measures to reduce the impact on management.

Specifically, among clean diesel vehicles, only those that meet the current fuel efficiency standards will continue to be exempt from tax for a limited period of two years, and those that do not meet the standards will continue to be exempt from tax for one year. If you can meet the standard in the fuel consumption measurement test, you will be exempt from tax for another year.

The government and the ruling party have decided to include these contents in the tax reform outline that will be compiled on the 10th next week.
