Greifswald (dpa / mv) - The district with the highest corona incidence values in the northeast - Western Pomerania-Greifswald - has introduced an automatic tightening of measures for offices for the first time.
Thereafter, among other things, sports operations will be restricted if more than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants are reached within seven days, as the district announced on Friday.
This is currently the case in 11 of the 27 offices and cities in the great district, including in the south of Usedom and in Strasburg (Uckermark), but not in Greifswald as the largest city.
The coronavirus is particularly active in five regions with incidence values of more than 100: The offices of Usedom-Süd, Peenestrom and Züssow as well as Heringsdorf and Strasburg (Uckermark).
In the district this value was last at 82.3.
With the general decree, District Administrator Michael Sack (CDU) also wants to ensure that the sports halls for recreational sports can automatically be reopened in regions with a seven-day value of less than 50.
