Garrel (dpa / lni) - A car driver suffered serious injuries in an accident in Garrel in the Cloppenburg district.
The 49-year-old woman wanted to overtake a tractor with her car, said a police spokesman on Friday.
At the same time, a 36-year-old driver wanted to turn off a side street in the opposite direction of the woman on Thursday afternoon.
The two cars collided, the woman's car overturned.
The 49-year-old was trapped and was seriously injured to the hospital.
The 36-year-old was unharmed.
The road has meanwhile been closed.
