Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, 521 new infections with the corona virus were reported from Thursday to Friday afternoon.
The number of people currently infected rose from 4,754 to 4,991, as announced by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Magdeburg.
The number of Sars-Cov-2 infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week increased from 112.31 to 115.09.
On Friday last week the value was still at 95.86.
The Burgenland district had by far the highest so-called seven-day incidence at 287.40, on Thursday the value was still at 259.44.
From Thursday to Friday, the number of deaths in whom the virus was detected rose by eight to 202 nationwide.
In Saxony-Anhalt, a total of 14 363 corona cases have been recorded and 1235 sick people have been treated in hospitals. According to the information, 56 intensive care beds and ventilation beds are currently occupied by Covid 19 patients; 30 of these patients would be artificially ventilated.
