“Dubai residency” gives GITEX visitors an exceptional experience

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai is preparing to give visitors to GITEX Technology Fair for the year 2020 in its 40th edition an exceptional experience of its kind, enabling the audience outside the exhibition to see the most prominent technical and innovative projects offered by "Dubai Residence", through the virtual roaming feature in addition to the attendees This comes in compliance with the precautionary measures in place in the country due to the "Covid-19" pandemic.

"Dubai Residence", through its participation in the exhibition to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center, during the period from the sixth to December 10 this year, revealed the presentation of a package of innovative projects in the service, security and administrative sectors, including the "Shabak" project, which provides a range of connectivity services. The digital program for several government agencies, the Dubai electronic document program, which is an electronic encyclopedia containing forms and copies of identical origin for all travel documents and documents for various countries of the world, the “My Platform” project for providing consulting services in digital fields, and the Next Generation of Ports (NBG) project, Which will enable the completion of check-out and entry procedures within 10 seconds, in addition to the golden residency system, and other innovative digital projects and initiatives that will be revealed during the exhibition.

The Director General of the Department, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Marri, stressed the importance of the participation of "Dubai Residence" in the exhibition on an annual basis, to be part of the industry of variables and its orientations towards the prestigious leadership position that the Emirate of Dubai and the country have reached on the global stage in various sectors, and in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world, in line with the UAE Vision 2021 and the National Innovation Strategy.

He added that the efforts of "Establishing Dubai" aimed at continuing the march of government excellence, and its relentless pursuit of creating smart and proactive initiatives and projects, enabled it to reach leadership at the level of government departments and agencies in the emirate, as the exhibition will be an exceptional opportunity to shed light on the digital transformation process witnessed by the emirate of Dubai. And the distinguished efforts made by institutions and government agencies to provide innovative solutions that permanently meet the needs and requirements of the digital age, and achieve happiness and well-being for society.
