China will contribute more than 1/3 to the world economic growth in 2021

Our newspaper, Paris, December 2 (Reporter Liu Lingling) The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development released its latest World Economic Outlook report on December 1.

The report pointed out that China will remain the only major economy that has achieved positive growth this year.

By the end of next year, the world economy is expected to return to the level before the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and China is expected to contribute more than one-third of the world economic growth in 2021.

The report predicts that, affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the world economy will shrink by 4.2% this year. This expectation is better than the two forecasts in June and September this year.

The report believes that the future use of the new crown pneumonia vaccine and the continuous acceleration of China's economic recovery will help boost market confidence and promote world economic recovery.

The world economy will grow by an average of about 4% in the next two years.

In the report, the OECD called for governments to actively adopt policy tools to ensure that the groups hardest hit by the epidemic receive the support they need.
