"
They close the roads, erect roadblocks, have armed men follow me and now shoot at my vehicle,
" denounces the candidate Bobi Wine.
On Tuesday, the opponent was again barred from campaigning.
His vehicle was stuck at a roadblock about fifty kilometers from Kampala and the police pulled the tires of his car.

The candidate suspended his campaign for 24 hours before resuming the road, calling on the forces not to interfere in the presidential campaign.
“
The police and army shot the tires on my vehicle.
We are continually prevented from taking the main roads by the police and the army.
We are forced to take the small dirt roads, and even there the army is deployed and shoots our supporters.
The police don't have to figure out where we can campaign.
"
The police reacted to the incident, accusing Bobi Wine of not respecting his campaign route which forbids him to pass through the city centers, officially because of Covid, explains Fred Enanga, police spokesman: “
He these are officers who fired.
They aimed at the tires to immobilize the vehicle because there was a roadblock on the road and Bobi Wine did not want to turn around.
He was not targeted, no one wants his life.
It's wrong.
But he is stubborn and does what he wants.
"
The electoral commission, for its part, called for restraint on both sides while there is still a month and a half of electoral campaign.
