Rostock (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 181 more corona infections were registered on Thursday.

That was three more than a week ago and 30 more than on Wednesday, as the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock announced (as of 16:21).

The seven-day incidence - the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week - rose from Wednesday to Thursday from 46.6 to 47.1.

The red area and thus the designation of the country as a whole as a risk area starts at 50.1.

The state capital Schwerin has been a risk area again since Thursday with an incidence of 57.5.

The four districts of Vorpommern-Greifswald (83.6), Mecklenburg Lake District (73.6), Northwest Mecklenburg (54.7) and Ludwigslust-Parchim (50.5) also have values ​​of more than 50.1 and are considered risk areas.

The lowest incidence value was reported in the Rostock district with 17.1, followed by Western Pomerania-Rügen (18.7) and the Hanseatic city of Rostock (21.0).

Three other people died of or with Covid-19, so that in MV there are now 71 deaths associated with the coronavirus.

According to Lagus, 125 corona patients are currently being treated in hospitals, 36 of them in intensive care units - two more than the day before.
