From the home near Kvikkjokk, the postal agent in Jäckvik is technically the closest.

Seventy miles away compared to Jokkmokk's ten miles.

But the crux when the packages are sent to Jäckvik is that the Arjeplog and Jokkmokk mountains are in the way.

If you take the car instead of traveling through the air, the seven miles turn into 39.

That detail has not been taken into account by any of the country's largest transport companies when Conny Lundmark ordered packages.

This has meant that he has had to make a large number of calls to have his packages forwarded to Jokkmokk.

- It has gone well when it is not urgent, but if they were needed immediately it would have been really bad.

Improperly set transport system

One of the carriers, DHL, has a so-called locator.

A map function that automatically assigns a postal agent by recipient address.

According to DHL's product manager Mikael Stange, it is set to follow the road when ordering from the area Conny Lundmark lives in.

Exactly why the orders were still sent to the agent closest to the bird's eye view, he does not dare to say, but he says that it may be because some transport system is set up incorrectly, or that one of the e-retailers, ie the sellers in this case, uses the locator's data incorrectly.

Sorry for the inconvenience

From DHL's side, Mikael wants to apologize and clarify that they offer help in situations such as Conny Lundmarks.

- When it gets this wrong, you can contact us and we will make a transfer of the packages at no cost to the customer himself.

We can also get in touch with the e-retailer and make it aware of the miss, says Mikael Stange.

The Arjeplog and Jokkmokk mountains are in the way so Conny's drive will be 390 km long.
