Husum (dpa / lno) Schleswig-Holstein's Minister of Health Heiner Garg (FDP) has spoken out in favor of maintaining the corona rules that have been decided upon and not tightening them any further.

"I would now first give the nationwide measures that were decided a chance to see whether they work or not," said Garg of the German press agency on Thursday in Husum on the edge of the presentation of a vaccination route.

But he also believes that a more precise so-called hotspot strategy is needed.

In regions with incidences of 300 new infections or more per 100,000 inhabitants, different measures are needed within seven days than, for example, in regions such as parts of Schleswig-Holstein, in which the incidences are sometimes well below 20.

"In my opinion, this differentiation is necessary."

The partial lockdown imposed due to the corona pandemic with closed restaurants, museums, theaters and leisure facilities will be extended until January 10th.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the prime ministers of the federal states decided on this during their deliberations on Wednesday.
