The updated situation in Italy and in the world



Today's data on coronavirus in Italy updated by the ministry of health: 23,225 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, 993 deaths with 226,729 swabs.

Yesterday there were 20,709 new cases, 684 deaths with 207,143 swabs carried out and 38,740 recovered.



Patients with symptoms in Italy are a total of 31,772, compared to yesterday there is a decrease of 682 cases. 3,597 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, 19 fewer. In home isolation 724,613, 547 less than yesterday. The total of currently positives is 759,982, equal to 1,248 less than yesterday. Between discharged and recovered there are 846,809 people, an increase of 23,474 units. The total cases are 1,664,829 (+23,225). The swabs in the last 24 hours were 226,729 for a total of 22,561,071.



993 deaths have been registered in Italy since yesterday, never so many in twenty-four hours since the pandemic began. On March 27th it was 919, the highest peak of the first wave. The total national death toll from Covid-19 is 58,038. 



Only in

Lombardy

, in the latest bulletin, there are 3,751 new cases, 347 deaths and 32 new admissions to intensive care.



In Veneto 3,581 infections and 95 deaths


The contagion curve in Veneto immediately returns, after two days in which it seemed to deflect: today there are 3,581 new positives compared to the previous 24 hours, for a total of 154,490 Covid cases since the beginning of epidemic, and 95 victims, bringing the total death toll to 3,982.

The bulletin of the Region reports it.

However, the numbers of hospitals are falling: Covid patients hospitalized in the medical area are 2,732 (-22), while people in intensive care are only 336 (-4).

The subjects currently positive: they are 70,603, compared to 68,792 yesterday (+1,811).



In Campania 2,295 new cases: 2,162 recovered and 54 deaths


There are 2,295 new cases of contagion registered today in Campania, compared to 24,079 swabs carried out.

The percentage of positives is 9.5% of the total tests performed.

These are the data released by the Crisis Unit of the Campania Region.

Of the positives registered today, 154 are symptomatic, while the remaining 2,141 are asymptomatic.

The recovered are 2,162, while the deceased are 54 of which 28 in the last 48 hours and 26 previously, but registered yesterday.

162 beds are occupied in intensive care (656 total beds), while 2041 hospital beds are occupied (3,160 total beds).



Piedmont, 2,230 cases and 92 deaths


The ratio between positive cases at Covid and processed swabs in Piedmont falls to 8.5%.

The bulletin of the Regional Crisis Unit reports today +2,230 positives (44.8% asymptomatic) with the result of 26,163 swabs.

There are 92 deaths, of which 11 occurred today.

After yesterday's +5, the number of hospitalized in intensive care returns to drop, -16, with a total drop to 366. The decline in patients in the other wards is confirmed: -137, with a total of 4459. at home there are 65,181, the cases of healing 3019. In Piedmont the currently positive are 70,006.



In Emilia Romagna 1,776 positives and 85 deaths


Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 127,870 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 1,766 more than yesterday, out of a total of 17,979 swabs performed in the last 24 hours.

Unfortunately, there are 85 new deaths.

In total, there have been 5,959 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 2,743 more than yesterday and reach 51,674.

The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 70,237 (-1,062 compared to yesterday).

Of these, people in isolation at home are a total of 67,324 (-1,036), 95.9% of the total number of active cases.

There are 245 patients admitted to intensive care (-2 compared to yesterday), 2,668 those in the other Covid departments (-24).



In Lazio 1,769 new cases and 38 deaths


"Today in Lazio, out of almost 23 thousand swabs, there are 1,769 positive cases, 38 deaths and 756 recovered".

This is what the regional health councilor, Alessio D'Amato, said, adding that "the projection of the RT value is stable at 0.9. Active outbreaks decrease and the occupancy rate of medical area beds is reduced. ".

In Rome, there are 1,013 new cases.

In the provinces there are 418 cases and ten deaths.



In Puglia today 1,602 cases, 42 deaths


Out of 8,753 tests for coronavirus infection today in Puglia 1,602 positive cases have been recorded.

42 deaths were recorded.

There are 41,749 cases currently positive.



In Tuscany 929 new cases and 38 deaths


In Tuscany there are 929 more positives than yesterday, out of a total of 105,804 units.

The healed reach 67,618.

The swabs performed reached 1,606,027, 14,469 more than yesterday, of which 6.4% positive.

On the other hand, 4,845 subjects tested today (excluding the control swabs), of which 19.2% were positive.

Added to these are the 3,492 rapid antigenic swabs performed today.

The currently positive are 35,430 today, -5.6% compared to yesterday.

The hospitalized are 1,739 (46 fewer than yesterday), of which 272 in intensive care (1 more).

33,691 people are in isolation at home (2,049 fewer than yesterday, 5.7% less).

There are 34,864 (1,156 fewer than yesterday, less 3.2%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance, because they have had contact with infected people.

The people hospitalized in beds dedicated to Covid patients today are 1,739 (46 less than yesterday), 272 in intensive care (1 more than yesterday).

The people healed are 67,618 (2,986 more than yesterday).

2,756 people have died since the beginning of the epidemic.



Friuli Venezia Giulia, 772 new cases and 34 deaths


Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 772 new infections have been detected (7.74 percent of the 9,970 swabs performed).

In addition, 34 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded, in addition to a further 18 previous deaths entered into the system today.

This was announced by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic totaled 32,970.

The current cases of infection are 15,297.

59 patients are being treated in intensive care and the number of hospitalized in other departments has dropped to 629 (-23 since yesterday).

The total deaths amounted to 941. The totally healed are 16,732, the clinically recovered 414 and the people in isolation 14,195.



Another 9 deaths in Sardinia, the number of hospitalized increasing


The deaths from Covid-19 do not stop in Sardinia, where today there are another 9 victims.

are 538 new cases

, 58 of these diagnosed on 1 December in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, but only included today in the monitoring following a realignment of the data.

The number of hospitalized patients is also increasing, 593 (+16), while the number of hospitalized patients in intensive care remains unchanged, 66 patients.

In home isolation there are 13,561 people, 267 are those more healed.

22,878 positive cases ascertained overall.



Marche, 476 new cases


In the last 24 hours there are 476 coronavirus positives among the new molecular swabs, in addition to another 33 infected based on 959 screening with antigenic pathway to be confirmed with molecular swabs.

This was announced by the Health Service of the Marche Region.

In all, 4,137 swabs were tested: 1,662 new molecular swabs, 959 tests in screening with antigen pathway and 1,516 in the path cured.  



In Abruzzo 395 infections and 13 deaths


There are 395 new infections from Covid-19 in Abruzzo, resulting from the 4,400 swabs carried out in the last 24 hours.

The deaths are 13 (2 those in recent days reported only today by the Local Health Authorities) and bring the total to 940. However, admissions are back on the rise with 2 more patients in intensive care (76 total) and 16 more people in the wards hospital where a total of 719 patients are confirmed. On the other hand, the number of people in home isolation is decreasing, dropping by 174 units for a total of 17,033.

The number of people discharged / recovered is still increasing and today they are 538 (the total since the beginning of the emergency is 10,428).

Even today, the currently positives calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / recovered and deceased from the total of positives are down: they are 17828 (-156 compared to yesterday).

Since the start of the Coronavirus emergency, a total of 424,370 tests have been performed.



Less than 7,000 current positives in Umbria


return to below 7,000 currently positive at Covid in Umbria, today 6,762, 321 less than yesterday according to data updated on the Region's website.

, 24,516, and the healed are 592, 17 314, and 15 new deaths, 440. Still declining hospitalized, 399, six less than yesterday, 54 (minus eight) in intensive care.

The total swabs analyzed since the beginning of the pandemic are 428,429, 3,508 more than yesterday, with a positive rate of 8.1 per cent.



In Basilicata net decline in infections, but 5 deaths


In Basilicata today there are five deaths and a sharp decline in coronavirus infections, with a positive / swab percentage of around 8.3%.

In particular - according to what was announced by the regional task force - 1,700 swabs were analyzed in the last 24 hours:

With this update the total of Lucanian victims has risen to 155, that of the currently positive ones to 6,207 (6,022 in home isolation).

The number of healed continues to grow: yesterday 78 were registered, a total of 1,956.

The number of hospitalized people increased from 179 to 185, and the number of places occupied in intensive care from 21 to 24.

Since the beginning of the health emergency, 156,657 swabs have been analyzed in Basilicata, 146,418 of which tested negative.



Another 42 new positive cases in Valle d'Aosta


In Valle d'Aosta, 42 new positive cases for coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours.

Two deaths are also to be recorded, bringing the total deaths to 324 (178 in the second wave).

This is what is read in the bulletin of the Valle d'Aosta Region based on the data provided by the Local Health Authority.

The healings were 128 healings (5,177 in total since the beginning of the pandemic).

The total of the current infected falls to 1,118.

There are 124 hospitalized, including 11 in intensive care.
