Norwegian Tarjei Boe won the Kontiolahti sprint on Thursday, counting for the Biathlon World Cup, while the Blues again failed to reach the podium.

Tarjei Boe (32), author of a 10/10 in shooting, signed the 10th victory of his career by beating the German Arnd Peiffer and his little brother Johnanes, double holding the big crystal globe.

Johannes Boe retains the lead in the overall World Cup standings.

On the French side, this start of the season is very complicated.

Orphans of Martin Fourcade, retired, the Tricolores have still not managed to slip into the top three in three races contested.

Fabien Claude was the best ranked Thursday taking 11th place.

Quentin Fillon-Maillet, who made the big crystal globe his goal, struggles for his part to assume his new status as leader of the Blues and was not reassured after his frustrating start last weekend.

In difficulty in shooting (3 faults), the Jurassien, 3rd overall the two previous years, finished only 30th.
