Faced with the scandal, Viktor Orban had to come out of his silence.
All day Wednesday, the revelations about his traveling companion Jozsef Szajer, surprised in a libertine gay Brussels party in full confinement, made the front page in Hungary.
A distancing which indicates that the affair has a political cost for the Prime Minister.

It was no longer tenable, so the Prime Minister carefully organized the response.
A short answer on the phone to a national media, then these few heavy words then reproduced on social networks by his spokesperson: “
What József Szájer has done does not correspond to the values of our political family.
We will not forget his thirty years of work, but his actions are not acceptable.
He made the only right decision by leaving the European Parliament and the party.
"
Co-founder and pillar of Fidesz, fellow traveler and confidant of Viktor Orban, József Szájer was also a specialist in European issues.
His departure comes in addition to those, recently, of two other connoisseurs of the Brussels arcana.
Beyond the damage to the image, this political and friendly break comes at the wrong time for the Hungarian Prime Minister a week before the next European summit and in the midst of the battle for the budget and the European recovery plan.
Budapest, like Warsaw,
has vetoed it.
Hungary is standing up to a new mechanism that would deprive countries that do not respect the rule of law of European money.
