Altenberg (dpa) - After his victory at the World Cup opener in Innsbruck-Igls, luge driver Felix Loch is aiming for the next success at the weekend in Altenberg, Saxony.

The 31-year-old has already celebrated nine World Cup victories on the track and won the World Cup in 2012.

«For me, the railway has a cool character.

There are many passages where I can just let the sledge go.

I love coming here every time, ”said the 31-year-old at the press conference on Wednesday.

"I am in good spirits that we will find a good attitude for the sled again and that we can fight for a place on the podium."

Altenberg is the second stop in this year's World Cup series for tobogganers.

After the Nations Cup on Friday, the two-seater races and the women’s competition will take place on Saturday.

The men and the team relay follow on Sunday.
