NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this following the results of the second day of meetings of the foreign ministers of the alliance countries.

"Georgia and Ukraine are important partners of NATO, they make an important contribution to our missions, today we reiterated our support for the territorial integrity of Georgia and Ukraine," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying. 

According to Stoltenberg, NATO discussed the reform programs of Georgia and Ukraine and "will step up practical support."

He also said that an updated package of NATO-Georgia measures was approved.

“The ministers agreed on further steps to raise awareness of the situation in the region and strengthen our dialogue,” he said.

Stoltenberg also said that the differences between Hungary and Ukraine on cooperation with NATO have not been overcome.
