Former French President Valerie Giscard d'Estaing has passed away at the age of 94. He began his career in the 1950s, becoming Secretary of State for Finance in 1959, and three years later as Minister of Finance and Economy. In 1974, Giscard d'Estaing was elected President of France for a seven-year term. Over the years of its work, large-scale state projects have been launched, including the construction of high-speed railways, as well as the construction of new nuclear power plants.
