On the air of RT, Russia's Permanent Representative to the OPCW, Alexander Shulgin, commented that in some member countries of the organization that signed a statement on the situation with the "poisoning" of Alexei Navalny, it is impossible to conduct appropriate studies of patient materials. States such as Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Vanuatu were "alarmed" despite the lack of suitable laboratories. Shulgin noted that the situation is similar to what happened after the poisoning of the Skripals in Salisbury in 2018. Then the UK, without presenting any evidence, persuaded a number of countries to expel Russian diplomats in response to the incident to which the Russian Federation was allegedly involved.
