Violators of the stipulations have vowed to be held accountable

8 controls for the travel of educational personnel on leave at the end of the first semester

The Education Ministry decided to hold make-up examinations for those who faced technical problems.

The Ministry of Education has set eight conditions and controls for the travel of employees in the educational field, during the leave of the first semester, as part of precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus.

In a circular about travel controls and requirements, which it recently circulated to schools, the ministry clarified that the employee who wishes to travel must inform the reason for travel, the destination to which he intends to travel, and the period he wishes to stay in.

The employee also bears all the administrative and legal consequences of his travel outside the country at the time of the spread of the virus, and this includes suspension of salary or termination of service with interruption if his stay outside the country exceeds two weeks or more, without the presence of force majeure or sufficient justification.

The quarantine period spent by the employee is deducted from the balance of his annual leave, if he has a balance, and if he does not have a leave balance, then it is considered without pay.

The employee, who returns to the state from any other country within the ban list that occurs continuously according to developments and the extent of epidemics and diseases, must be subject to health measures, and this includes quarantine upon his return at any of the state's outlets.

Among the conditions and controls, the employee must abide by the instructions for home quarantine, according to the guide for home quarantine and re-examination according to the health procedures followed after his return from travel, as well as not to violate the measures issued by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection towards those coming to the country from countries affected by any of the communicable diseases.

The employee must not come to work knowing that the result of his examination is positive, and the salary of one to five days is deducted in the event that the employee is not notified to the work authority of his contact with a person infected with the virus, or he does not adhere to the instructions of home quarantine in accordance with the directives of the competent health authorities on proven contact with an infected person.

The circular stressed that the school director is primarily responsible for reporting the commitment of all school employees to work, removing the names of those who have been cut off from work, and informing the Personnel Affairs Department about that, and whoever violates the requirements will expose himself to legal accountability.

The circular pointed out that the teaching body will continue to operate remotely, and that the administrative body will continue to work at 50%, according to the applicable scenarios.

On the other hand, the ministry stated that students will start the end of the first semester vacation on December 13 for a period of three weeks, and return to their academic seats for the second semester on the third of next January.

The ministry stated that the vacation for administrative, teaching and technical bodies in schools will start on December 20 and end on the 31st of the same month, and the leave for professional development (training) starts on the 13th of the same month, for a period of one week.

Students complete the end of the first semester exams on the ninth of this month with the subject of social studies, and students in grades four to twelve complete them remotely.

The twelfth grade students praised the level of the end-of-semester exam questions that they performed, except for mathematics, in which students faced some difficulties, and a number of them suffered technical malfunctions in the exam system, which made them confused.

The ministry said that it would set new dates for make-up examinations for some twelfth grade students, who faced difficulties entering the system, to take exams due to technical problems.
