- It was an extremely hot November, it looked like we were on our way to a record for a long time, but the cold of the last four days means that it is the second warmest November measured.

The warmest was in 2000, says Per Stenborg, meteorologist at SVT.

But it is a station, Örskär on the Uppland coast, which this year broke the record from November 2000.

- The exact values are not clear because there are a few hours left of the month.

But for the county as a whole, it has been about 4 degrees warmer than the average temperature for November is usually at.

The records are all from the 2000s

The temperature in Uppsala has been measured since the 18th century and the peak prices for November are all in recent decades.

- With climate change, we can expect increasingly warmer weather in the future.

It may not be this hot every November, but a little more often in the future, says Per Stenborg.

There are many indications that December will be more normal.

- But the weather can always come with surprises so we have to wait and see how it turns out.

In the clip above, Per Stenborg tells more about why it has been so hot.
