Meppen (dpa / lni) - SV Meppen celebrated a surprising victory at the end of the 13th matchday of the 3rd soccer league.

Coach Torsten Frings' team beat third-placed FC Ingolstadt 2-0 (2-0) on Monday evening.

Luka Tankulic took the lead in the 4th minute, ex-Hannover 96 professional Valdet Rama got the final score before half-time (23rd).

Despite the victory, Meppen remains bottom of the table with nine points, the gap to a non-relegation place is initially three points.

However, due to a 14-day quarantine and a total of three corona-related game cancellations, the Lower Saxony have only played ten games.
