November 29, 2020At least 110 civilians were killed yesterday in a terrorist attack in the village of Koshobe not far from Maiduguri, the capital of the state of Borno, in northeastern Nigeria.

The massacre was carried out by a gang of the jihadist movement Boko Haram, according to reports from the UN humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria.

The gunmen arrived on motorbikes and brutally hit peasants, women and men, who were working in the village's fields, Edward Kallon explained.

"At least 110 civilians were cruelly killed, and numerous others were injured in the attack," he added.

Yesterday two leaders of a pro-government militia spoke of "lifeless bodies, all slaughtered, and seriously injured people," said Babakura Kolo, head of a self-defense group.
