China News Agency, Kathmandu, November 29 (Reporter Zhang Chenyi) On November 29, Nepalese President Bhandari and Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Oli respectively met with visiting Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Defense Wei Fenghe in Kathmandu.

  Bhandari said that Nepal and China have a long history of friendship.

The Nigerian side congratulates China on its success in fighting the epidemic under the leadership of President Xi, and expresses its deep gratitude to China for its firm support for Nepal's economic development and social stability.

Nepal actively participates in China's "Belt and Road" initiative and is willing to further strengthen relations in various fields and continuously deepen the friendship and cooperation between the two militaries.

  Oli said that over the 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, friendly cooperation has been extensive and deepened.

Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. I believe that under the leadership of President Xi, China's construction and development will surely make greater achievements.

The Nepali side sincerely thanks China for its strong support for the building of the Nepalese military over the years, and believes that this visit will further promote the in-depth development of cooperation between the two militaries.

  Wei Fenghe said that the successful exchange of visits between the two heads of state last year has elevated China-Nepal relations to a strategic partnership of friendship for generations to develop and prosper.

China highly appreciates Nepal’s firm adherence to the one-China policy and firm support for Nepal’s maintenance of national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

China will continue to maintain close communication with Nepal and carry out in-depth practical cooperation, as always, provide support and assistance for the construction of the Nepalese army, and make greater contributions to the well-being of the two peoples and regional peace and stability.

  In the afternoon of the same day, Wei Fenghe held talks with the Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army Thapa. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the international and regional situation, the relationship between the two countries and the two militaries.
