Above all, the magistrate announced that he had also requested the remand in custody of three of the four officials involved.

Questioned by images broadcast by the Loopsider site, the police were brought before an examining magistrate this Sunday afternoon.

They could be indicted, in the evening, for "willful violence resulting in a total incapacity for work of less than 8 days, with a weapon, in a meeting, accompanied or followed by comments of a racist nature", "home invasion" and for "false in public writing".

The “risk of distortion” mentioned from the start

In his short speech, the public prosecutor explained that the prosecution did not wait for the revelation of the case by the media to launch an investigation.

The day after the violent arrest, Michel Zecler's lawyer had, in fact, warned of the "risk of distortion" between the facts told by the police and those suffered by his client.

In their report of interpellation that

They justify the arrest by the fact that Michel Zecler, 41, was not wearing a mask protecting from the coronavirus and was accompanied by a "strong smell of stupefying material".

During a search carried out at the music studio three days after the facts, investigators found the producer's bag which contained, according to the prosecutor, 0.5 grams of herbal cannabis.

Belonging to the territorial brigade of the 17th arrondissement of Paris, the police officers involved are between 23 and 44 years old.

“They have good or even very good service.

And no incident has punctuated their career to date, ”said the public prosecutor.

For his part, Michel Zecler posted, this Sunday, a message on the Instagram network.

“I feel that my case may be too much of a straw for many of you.

I demand that no violence or amalgamation be done in my name.

The facts are serious.

My response will be cold but resolute, ”he says.
