Schwerin (dpa) - Overall beaten respectably, but after 100 minutes of play, the volleyball players of VfB Suhl lost 1: 3 (24:26, 17:25, 25:21, 15:25) at Schwerin SC.

Ten days after their last appearance in the Palmberg Arena in Schwerin, when they were defeated in the cup quarter-finals against Dresdner SC, Suhl's coach Laszlo Hollosy's team presented itself on par with the favorite, especially in the first and third set.

Hollosy had changed his team slightly, for example Jelena Sunjic played in the outside attack, while diagonal attacker Danielle Harbin first had to sit on the bench.

After the Suhlers were in the lead with 16:12 in the second technical break and increased this to 17:12, Schwerin's coach Felix Koslowski came up point by point.

After the Suhl block landed on the net, a misunderstanding caused the hosts to win the set.

In the third set the guests from VfB led 6: 1 and 8: 4, but let the SSC come back to 16:14 from VfB's point of view.

Both coaches took turns with time outs.

But Laszlo Hollosy and his team had the better end.

The final fourth sentence was all about the cup finalist Schwerin.
