Neustadt-Glewe / Lütjensee (dpa) - After attempting to blow up an ATM in Lütjensee in Schleswig-Holstein, the police arrested two other suspects.

The arrests were made early Saturday morning, said a spokesman for the State Criminal Police Office on Saturday.

The search for other suspects was stopped according to the police in Rostock.

A 48-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

According to the police, the man was noticed because he was walking through Neustadt-Glewe (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) with heavily soiled outer clothing.

Officials had discovered the getaway car on Friday night on the A24.

Policemen started the pursuit at Wöbbelin.

The fugitives broke through a police cordon shortly before Neustadt-Glewe.

Even if an officer shot her car, she didn't stop.

A short time later, however, a burning car in Neustadt-Glewe was reported to the police.

A police spokesman reported that there were detonations in the car.

The suspects fled.

According to the State Criminal Police Office Schleswig-Holstein, the perpetrators tried to blow up an ATM of the Sparkasse Holstein in Lütjensee by injecting gas on Friday night.

Residents and the security service reported an explosion around 2:12 p.m.

Then the perpetrators fled with a stolen vehicle.

The investigators are currently assuming that the suspects set the car on fire themselves.
