There have been several signals that health care and care for the elderly have been hit hard by the corona pandemic.

- The idea with this money is that there should be plenty of resources to support the staff who need conversational support, help to get through post-traumatic stress disorder and other things that affect staff who work with helping very seriously ill people, says Anders W Jonsson , acting party leader for the Center Party.

"An ethical stress"

The corona pandemic and the isolation of the sick have put the staff in an ethical stress, says Anders W Jonsson.

- This stress you experience when very seriously ill people can not have relatives nearby.

Where you may have to help a seriously ill person to say goodbye to their children via a mobile phone, it is the type of ethical stress that makes far too many people have fared very badly.

- And then there should be no shortage of money so that they can return with full force to health care.

At least SEK 100,000 to the municipalities

As early as December, this money will be paid out.

This is a total of half a billion kronor, of which 350 million kronor will go to the regions and 150 million kronor to the municipalities.

Each municipality will receive at least SEK 100,000, says Anders W Jonsson.

- This will be a real financial contribution to municipalities and regions.

Should it turn out that the costs will be greater, then we will have to have a new discussion next year.
