SVT has previously reported on Gösta Andersson who fell ill with covid-19 in April.

The doctors then made the assessment that he would not be able to handle intensive care, but already seven months after the illness, Gösta Andersson has had time to pedal 600 km on the bike.

- The doctors did not think I would make it, he says.

Intensive care was denied

It was Gösta's daughter, Ulrica Stigberg, who was stubborn that Gösta would receive intensive care.

As a result, the doctors changed their decision and six months later, the hospital's own investigation showed that they had made a mistake.

Södertälje Hospital has reported itself to the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate, IVO.
