Mainz (dpa / lrs) - The various bodies in the Rhineland-Palatinate state government made the final preparations for the new Corona Control Ordinance on Friday.

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Health reported a tight schedule.

"This will be a minute business," said Alexander Wilhelm (SPD) on Friday in front of the parliamentary commission of inquiry.

The announcement of the new measures was expected in the evening.

Before that, the individual measures would be coordinated between the ministries and legally examined in the Ministry of Justice.

The regulation should finally be discussed by the Council of Ministers and then adopted.

The cabinet wanted to meet at 4 p.m.

The measures are expected to take effect on December 1st.

The currently still valid twelfth Corona Control Ordinance expires on November 30th.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the heads of government of the federal states, including Prime Minister Malu Dreyer (SPD), decided on Wednesday in a joint switch to extend and tighten the partial lockdown until December 20.
