The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that more emphasis was placed on freedom of religious activity than on COVID-19 quarantine.

According to foreign media, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by Catholics and Orthodox Judaism, saying that the New York State executive order limiting the number of attendance at religious events to prevent the spread of Corona 19 was unfair.

Administrative measures limiting the number of attendance to the worship service to 10 people in the corona19 risk area, namely the Red Zone, less dangerous areas, and the Orange Zone, have violated religious freedom.

The Supreme Court ruled that "the restriction on attendance at worship violates the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of religion."

He pointed out that in the case of religious facilities in the Red Zone, the number of participants is limited to 10, and supermarkets and dog goods stores are not regulated.

With the opinions of nine Supreme Court Justices split five to four, the opinion of President Trump's conservative Justice Amy Connie Barrett was decisive.

Justice Barrett is a conservative Supreme Court Justice, whose appointment was forced by President Trump despite the opposition of the Democrats after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Vader Ginsberg, who was called the ``icon of progress,'' in September.

Reuters said that while Justice Ginsburg survived, similar lawsuits were filed in Nevada and California, but the case was dismissed four to five when Justice Ginsburg stood on the losing side of the plaintiff.

In the end, the position of Justice Barrett, who filled Ginsburg's vacancy, had a big impact, and the Associated Press interpreted it as a phenomenon that the Supreme Court was changing after Barrett took office.

President Trump retweeted a blog explaining the ruling on his Twitter account and wrote it "a joyful Thanksgiving."

On the other hand, Supreme Court Justice Roberts, who gave a few comments, said, "It is a serious problem to ignore decisions made by health care professionals for public safety in the face of the fatal corona19 epidemic."

This ruling will not take effect immediately, as the water level has been lowered and personnel restrictions are not applied.
