Politics: The PSOE and Podemos negotiate on evictions to reduce tension in the Government
The accounts of the State, Alliance of United Podemos, Bildu and ERC against the PSOE in the Budgets to prohibit evictions
The second vice president and minister of Social Affairs and Agenda 2030, Pablo Iglesias, has announced in Congress the approval of a decree, within a maximum period of two weeks, that will prohibit evictions without a housing solution.
It is a measure insistently demanded by United We Can, a requirement with which it even threatened to ignore the approval of the Budget project for 2021 and that led it to sign a joint amendment with ERC and Bildu to the State accounts, and do so behind the back of the majority partner of the Government.
Finally this amendment, admitted for processing despite the report against the lawyers of Congress, was rejected with the vote of the Socialists.
However, Pablo Iglesias had already obtained from Pedro Sánchez the commitment to promote this prohibition via decree law.
Today, the second vice president has announced it imminently during his appearance in Congress.
