Hanover (dpa / lni) - The Lower Saxony administrative courts have already registered more than 760 corona-related proceedings.

Justice Minister Barbara Havliza expects further lawsuits against the new regulation.

“We have been plagued by this pandemic since March.

No wonder that people's patience is dwindling, ”said the CDU politician to the“ Bild ”newspaper (Thursday).

"The number of court cases will probably even increase."

On November 20, there were exactly 767 cases.

Havliza said she was very proud of how well the rule of law worked even in the crisis, how reliably the courts were working, and how exactly they checked government actions and, if necessary, corrected them.

For the next year, the minister announced 16 additional posts for Lower Saxony's judiciary, mainly to process proceedings from the corona crisis at insolvency and labor courts. There are eight judge posts.
