Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A drug dealer convicted by a police liaison officer has been sentenced to eight years in prison by the Frankfurt Regional Court.

The proceedings against the 50-year-old involved three heroin deals.

At the beginning of this year, the man is said to have sold two kilograms of heroin each to the police undercover agent for 17,000 euros each.

When the undercover agent had arranged a deal with over 20 kilograms for 320,000 euros, the drug dealer was arrested when he was handed over in his apartment in Frankfurt's Ostend.

A second defendant, 56 years old, who helped with the first sale, was given a two-year suspended sentence for aiding and abetting. Both defendants had largely confessed to the acts. Decisive for the high penalty for the 50-year-old was, among other things, the large amount, the high price and the dangerousness of the drug heroin. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
